Geometry Final Project- Honeysuckle Density Report
As part of beginning our Last 10th grade project, the nature trail, we had to calculate the density of the invasive species called honeysuckle. We wanted to see if the honeysuckle growing in the area was affecting the number of other plants also growing in the area. To do this, we measured out plots that were 25 ft by 25 ft and then counted the number of honeysuckle and other plants growing in the plot. This project made us be very persistent. Measuring out plots and counting the honeysuckle was very time- consuming and trying to make sense of the data later was also and I had to very persistent in finding a relationship between the number of other plants and the honeysuckle. (I later had to conclude that there was no mathematical relationship between the two.
